Roseville Bankruptcy: Credit Counseling Class

Changes in the bankruptcy code have created new mandates for debtor education.  Now to be eligible to file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13, you must first successfully complete a credit counseling class, and the class must occur within 6 months of your filing.  Then after filing, you must take another class for debtor education.
Your debtor education class should be in the Roseville area.  This course has the goal of teaching you to manage your finances better post-bankruptcy.  The class will be more intensive and time-consuming than your credit counseling class, but still it should take no more than three hours.

Debtor education courses are not free.  Although bankruptcy will discharge your debts, the process is not costless.  You can limit these costs by taking classes from a US Trustee at their office, which is usually cheaper and more convenient.  To learn more, call Sagaria Law today for an initial consultation.
